blogs tend to come and go, just as most everything does in our immediate-satisfaction, internet driven modern world. many times i’ve bemoaned the fall of The Sartorialist or *insert website here*, but as cynical as that may seem, there are some websites that never cease to peak my interest. one of those websites is Luxirare. run by the enigmatic Ji Kim, Luxirare never fails to make me want to step up my game in so many ways. i mean just look - she can sew like nobody’s business, and she cooks like a motherfucker. really though, god damn.

a close-up from one of Kim’s recent culinary posts
even though the “Egg in a hole” isn’t the most far fetched idea, i wanted to point out Kim’s beautiful photography and commitment to the full concept. it’s pretty rare to find anything less than an amazing picture on Luxirare (shit, even her iphone snaps are somehow fantastic), and i believe that’s part of the reason i keep coming back - talent mixed with a dash of personality.
and for one of her more indulgent (not that a whole truffle isn’t indulgent) culinary adventures, check out the “bento box” post - one of the ideas that won me over in the first place.

i’ve been keeping up with Kim’s blog/website/endless well of inspiration for a few years now, but i needed to throw some serious praise in her direction. it takes some real talent and creativity to keep coming up not only with posts, but really inspiring and stunning updates on a regular basis.

god i love that chanel clutch.
i would say everyone should become an avid follower of Luxirare, but i’m sure you’ve all bookmarked it already.
