from the rear view mirror

this will probably be my last post from paris (excluding any charles de gaulle terminal 2 inspired words), and i wanted to take the time to say how much i loved my time in this fantastic city. yes, i complained some, as we all inevitably do. but when you really boil it down, paris is fantastic. it’s beautiful and three-dimensional in ways new york isn’t, and those are all things i’ll miss very much.

my time here was breathtaking. walking outside everyday, greeted by views of the invalides and the tour eiffel won’t be topped by the garbage on the streets on manhattan, and i know that. and, for that reason and innumerable others, i just wanted to say - paris, je t’aime. i’m sorry, please excuse how inexcusably clichéd that was, but it’s true. paris, the city of lights, will always hold a dear place in my heart. we’ve been though good and bad (and a lot of rain), but i’ll always look back on my time here, the people i met, literally everything that happened, with great fondness. i hope to return here soon and often, and perhaps when i’m older in a more permanent fashion.
