alright, i’ll preface this one by saying i’ve never really drank the valli kool-aide. it’s just not my style, and that’s no reflection on the clothes or any of the people (beyond the fact that they don’t make all black things and i don’t really wear leopard print). that said, i liked this collection for valli. it was, after all, très valli, animal prints and all.
a few looks i did like featured silver and gold detailing and jacquard mixing - they reminded me partially of ancient egypt, and partially of audrey hepburn.
i think that, as show looks and in the showroom, this might have been too much for me. but pair that top with some skinny jeans (or those trousers with a crew neck sweater), and i think you’d have a real world look that everyone can appreciate. too bad the prices were astronomical.
